Why a Studio Photography Session, and Not Outdoors?

Why a professional studio session might be perfect for your pet

It's over 100 degrees outside again.  Of course it is ---- it’s Texas! It seems like with each passing year our summer season gets hotter and goes on for longer.  This makes planning an outdoor portrait session tough for both you and your fur baby.  Dogs don’t sweat.  They cool off by panting.  If it’s hot enough, no amount of panting will cool them down.  This can make planning an outdoor portrait session not only uncomfortable but also dangerous for your pet for the greater part of the year.

A studio session for your pet makes the weather irrelevant. Our studio is climate controlled so your bestie will never be too hot or too cold.   In addition, if your pet is unhappy when around other animals or easily distracted by what’s going on around them, a studio session is perfect to keep your pet safe and relaxed.

We realize that with the rise of Instagram, images of pets out in incredible landscapes are super popular. We totally get it. We love capturing those moments, but if the local weather and landscapes don’t match what you love about those pictures, studio portraits can be just as amazing!

Another bonus of booking a pet studio session is that the images can be truly tailored to you. Every detail of your photoshoot is carefully considered. We minimize distraction by limiting the background colors to neutrals so that your pet remains the focus of attention.  We aim to capture an intimate moment of personality and character.  If you have a specific idea or props in mind, such as flowers, we are always happy to discuss how we can incorporate those into your photoshoot.

So, if you could have some amazing portraits created of your pet, what would you want to feel when you look at them?

We can do this together, in the comfort of our studio, while the weather stays weird here in Austin.
